Race begins promptly at 8:00 AM. Race Day registration
from 7:00 to 7:45 AM.

Corner of 30th St. and Willett Dr, next to Ivinson Memorial Hospital.

Catered breakfast/brunch following the race. Goodies to include yogurt
and granola, eggs, ham, fruit and breakfast burritos provided by Turtle Rock Coffee of Laramie.
Included in registration fee. Additional tickets for non-running friends and family can
be purchased for $6.00 each.

All Post-Race Food and Beverage is included in your registration fee.
Course Information:
The race begins winding through the sandy flats on the east end of town. You will run
the hogback and pass through the hidden Yucca valley and begin the slow climb to
the east, through Owl Canyon (what a hoot!),
passed the duckponds, across limestone outcroppings, up Devil's Staircase, and finally the
switchbacks to the top of Pilot Hill. Then its ankle-busting and full speed ahead for the
downhill descent! The trail is mostly "two-track" on seldom used jeep roads across mostly
(85%) private land.
Aid Stations:
A total of 3 aid stations (two of which will be passed both on the way up and down) with
one at the top. Over the 15.5 mile course you can expect an aid station every 2.5 to 3 miles.
Aid Stations will be stocked with water, Gatoraide, gauze, and band-aids.
Weather:
Generally 50's at the start, 60's to 70's at the finish. There's a good chance the wind will be blowing.
Age Groups and Awards:
Awards to the top three male and female runners in three age categories (0-34, 35-49, 50 and
over).
The "Top Mountain Goat" prize is a cash award given to the first male and first female to reach
the top of Pilot Hill.
A cash award will be given to the overall and masters male and female winners of the race.
BONUS CASH: A bonus award will be given to the overall or masters winner who also wins the Top
Mountain Goat for his or her gender.
Course Map and Profile:
It goes up about 1500 ft, then comes down about 1500 ft.
